Hi there, I’m Charlie

About me: Hello, I am Charlie, and I have recently completed my BSc (Hons) degree in Mathematics and Sport Science at Loughborough University. I am currently looking forward to starting my Industrial Mathematical Modelling Master's (MSc) degree in October.

Tutoring experience

I have enjoyed over two years of tutoring students from a wide range of abilities. Over this time, I have helped both A-level, and GCSE students achieve the grades that they deserve. I believe this is because I am a similar age to my students, so I truly understand and remember what my students are going through. Also, I have had very positive experiences with tutors for various subjects in the past and have found it very beneficial. So, I thoroughly understand that a relaxed and unpatronizing environment is vital to the learning process and that is what you shall get!

Am I the right fit for you?

A tutor knowing their subject is a given, so what makes me the right tutor for you? For those studying A-level or GCSE: I mainly work through exam questions and focus on how you should answer them. Suppose you lack confidence in any topic or want to get ahead. In that case, I will prepare a lesson for you with different ways of approaching the subject to find how you best understand the area. I am very patient and understanding when any student is struggling. This is because I wasn't the fastest learner in school myself, and I know that the last thing you want to this about is judgement when you are trying to learn.
